What is the funky griffin??
The funky griffin is a collection of inane ramblings and random thoughts from one Ryan Hateley. It is not the aim of this page to provide entertainment, but instead it is here to provide budgies with a sense of well being. Of course it could just be Ryan trying out some new stuff!

Name My Story
He sat patiently at his expensive desk awaiting a phone call that he hoped would never come. Every so often he would readjust his already immaculate tie, and smooth back the hair on his head, though there was none there to smooth.
He would reach forward as if to pick up the phone, but his hand would pause millimetres away from the ebon receiver, barely moving until he snatched it away again. He fidgeted with his cufflinks instead, as it made a change from adjusting his tie. He looked up at his antique clock, carefully selected to compliment the teak of his desk and the warm red carpet upon which his high backed and exclusively upholstered chair was situated. It was 9:27pm. The caller was 1 minute late. A bead of sweat formed upon his upper lip despite the state-of-the-art climate control that had the room?s temperature set permanently to 19 degrees Centigrade.
His gaze returned to the phone, willing it to ring.
It did.
A moment?s indecision overcame the man as his hand shot out towards the phone to pick up the receiver, there was a hands free function. Perhaps reclining in his chair to talk to the caller would help him to generate the right air of calm and confidence. Perhaps he should let the call go through to his top of the range answering machine so that he could listen to it again if he needed to. No, that would leave evidence.
By this time his hand had already picked up the receiver and placed its ends to his mouth and ear.
?Yes?? He spoke with an air of coolness one would expect from an ice cube in a fan forced oven.
He listened as the caller passed on his message and afterwards he hung up the phone without saying goodbye.
Picking up the phone again he pressed the button for line one, which brought the sunny voice of his well paid personal assistant into the confines of his office.
?Yes sir??
?Elise,? he said with an air of authority that he was far more accustomed to, ?Arrange for two tickets to Perth, we?ll be staying there for two days, possibly more. We leave tonight on the Red eye.?
?Yes sir.? acknowledged his assistant.
He closed the channel of communication and replaced the receiver for the second time that evening. Looking up the clock he noted that it was now 9:37pm. He had two hours to prepare for the flight. He knew that Elise would bring everything required.
